OOTD: mixing metals

Oh!! Ohmigosh, guys, guess what?! Spring is here! No, seriously! I guess Winter was all like, "I'm outta here," and Spring was all, "OK, I guess that means I'm up," because when I stepped outside today, it was 60 degrees. Tomorrow will be 70. Ah! Oh wait, hold on...

No.

OK, no. So it's still winter. But... umm... could've fooled me.

Sweater: LINE cardigan (yeah whatever I know I wear this thing all the time, and yes I have other cardigans... sue me.)
Belt: F21 bow belt
Necklace: Charlotte Russe bib necklace (similar here)
Shoes: Sam Edelman metallic oxfords

I've been super neutral lately, which may just be testament to the season, but I feel like I need to step up my colors. Although I have to say, this outfit was so pretty. I snagged this dress on sale for $30 this weekend at UO and it fits like a glove. I should've gotten pics of the back of this thing and without the sweater because the shape of it is just adorable. (p.s. Hey Urban outfitters? Please allow your models to wear their proper size and look cute. Because your website seems to make the cutest dresses look blech.) Also, check out the oxfords! Here they are with a dress (and GASP? Is that SILVER and GOLD together? Yes. Yes it is). And yes, I've belted just about everything lately, but it just adds a little extra oomph when an outfit is otherwise rather simple. I actually did this for work today with my light purple NY&Co sweater and no belt, so there.

Tomorrow night will launch the BLOG SALE! I'll have a few pairs of pants, a dress or two, a few skirts, and some sweaters. Stay tuned!

  1. Oh gosh, I clicked on the dress link for Urban Outfitters and just realized that you were wearing a necklace. That bib necklace is so cool, it actually looks like it is part of the dress. I love UO too for some dresses, I was able to get a couple at the end of the summer for like $10 each.

  2. I love the outfit! Super cute. 60 degrees out here and i am bundled up in a wool coat, scarf, tights, and boots. Seriously. Enjoy your warm weather and I will mourn the loss of sunny LA warmth. :)

  3. Ok, you've got me on the oxfords. Not sure they would look cute on little old me, but all I need to be convinced that something is worth wearing is to see it looking precious on someone else.

I'm dying for some spring. I feel myself giving up on "winter me"... oh, is that caked dry Dominos pizza sauce on my sweatshirt sleeve? Well it's not on the front so I'm throwing it on!

    Ugh. I quits.

  6. I was wondering how the bow belt from forever 21 fits? I know even the smallest sizes of belts can be loose around the waist

  7. Hi Morgan! For reference, my waist is probably around 27 inches, and this belt fits perfectly. There are a bunch of holes, too, so I think it gives a broad range of sizes. I needed a new one and this one does just the trick, so I totally recommed!
