Countdown! and here's to hoping...

OK ladies. For any of you Dallas-ites out there interested in the Rodarte for Target new Go Line, the North Irving/MacArthur store will have the line out on December 18th, two days before the scheduled release. There may be others out there that are releasing it a few days early (it really depends on the shipments, as far as I know), but this is the only one I got a straight answer from. I'll be going on my lunch break and trying on as many things as I can. I'll upload the pics and reviews that night so ya'll can have ideas. Especially those of you waiting for the online release on the 20th. Hopefully that will be helpful!

(Can you tell I'm excited? Yeah.)

Louise Goldin for Topshop, Spring '10
And if I know anything about these collaboration lines, these insanely haute shoes will be inspiration only. Remember how that went with the Christian Siriano line? And all the ass-kickin' shoes that never showed up at Payless? Yeah... but a girl can dream and hold out hopes... Here's to pleasantly edgy dreams of shoes-as-weapons. Sigh.

  1. Ha, I'm totally going to stalk my Target now!!
And those Louise Golden shoes are amazing. I have faith that Topshop will keep them as is, since they do actually have some edgy pieces and aren't focusing on mass-market-America-sales like Payless. I hope so anyway :)

  2. hehe... I hope you're right about the Topshop thing... it's true about them being less worried about mass marketing. Funny thing is, if Payles had actually released those awesome CS shoes, they woulda sold out in an instant. But look at me waxing and waning about fashion-business. :)How much do you think they'll cost?

  4. Oh holy cow, those Topshop shoes! I was so bummed over the Christian Siriano deal (but, you know, understandable considering the average patron of Payless) so I hope Topshop decides to give middle America the finger and COME OUT WITH SPIKEY HEELS. I WANT SPIKEY HEELS, GIMME.

Also, is there any place I can go to find what stores will have Rodarte? Usually Target has a splash page for their designers, counting down for the collection and showing which stores will have it- but I'm not finding anything. Gah!

I know my piddly Target won't have it- they decided to completely revamp and carry things to only please the Coach-bag-carrying suburban upper middle class housewives around here. I have no idea why they can't just cater to me- cry.

Looks like I'll be sitting online trying to order it come Sunday- if they have it online?

  5. I actually (stalkerishly) just called all my stores. I was so pissed when I didn't see a preview online-- what the hell? Even Anna Sui did one! So as far as I know, there is no way to tell which stores will carry. Except for the good ole' fashion way. :)
