Loving-- snake jewelry!

While I'm not usually one for lots of jewelry (I typically wear a neclace and that's about it), I found myself totally falling head over heels for Rachel Rachel Roy's amazing snake jewelry. I love how edgy the concept is, yet she keeps the pieces simple and understated. Totally cool, no? Here are my 3 fave pieces....

Snake transformer (this little baby can be worn as a necklace, bracelet, OR belt! I might snag this one for myself...)

PLUS, the site is doing a 30% off at checkout on all of them! Yippee, hooray! Go get you some, now. :)

Product review: Shop The Look!

Afternoon, lovies! One thing I've been meaning to do and thinking about since I took my little hiatus is this product review from a great online accessories boutique called Shop The Look. The fab ladies over there contacted me a while back asking me if I'd like to review some things of theirs, and since they stock cute, trendy pieces, I could not say no. Shop the Look has been featured in tons of magazines we all know and love (Lucky, Redbook, InStyle, hellooo!!) and always feature affordable baubles that look like the real thing. Here's what I reviewed:

Looped beaded necklace (on sale here!!!)

I thought the necklace looked so much like that Anthropologie necklace that was out this summer (whose name I'm blanking on at the moment), but I really liked the mix of metallics and neutrals this one offered. It's super cute with anything from jeans and a tee to a LBD. (EDIT: I was wrong to say the necklace is sold out-- it's actually ON SALE for under $8! grab it up, peeps!) Plus, I love me a good cuff, and the Rocker cuff is just what I need to spice up an outfit. The one little drawback I found? The clasp is a bit hard to maneuver on the necklace, but once it's on it's not a problem. Otherwise, quality seems great, especially for such inexpensive pieces.

Anyway, go check out what you can find over that way! They are running a free shipping with a $20 purchase promotion (use code FALLFREESHIP), so make sure and stock up on your fall faves now while the promotion lasts. As always, happy shopping bloggies!   :)

SURPRISE! Week 1 of 2 of Giveaways!

**Thank you for the entries! The giveaway is now closed.**

Surprise, lovies! For the next two weeks on Fetching Fashions, we have two (count 'em, TWO) great Etsy giveaways! Woohoo! And ya'll know how much I love me my Etsy.

First up this week is the jewelry bar. You recently saw me wear my pretty necklace here, which I bought for myself when I bought three lanyard necklaces for my bridal party as thank you gifts. I was super-happy with the purchase and was stoked to find out that the jewelry bar wanted to do a giveaway with me! Here's the prize: the winner gets this beautiful 14k-gold-filled necklace with gorgeous gemstone of her choice (mine is very similar and trust me, it's so easy to wear)!

Here are the gemstone choices (note the size differences too, FYI):

Ummm, how awesome is that? All you have to do to enter is simple (I quite prefer simplicity; don't you?):

For one entry, comment on this post and become a follower (just let me know in the comment if you are a follower). Also, I forgot to say this, but please leave your email address in your comment! Otherwise, I'll have no way to reach you!! :(

For an extra entry, become a fan of the jewelry bar on Facebook! (please enter a separate comment for this by just letting me know in the comment). the jewelry bar lets you know about special promotions and secret discounts on her fan page, so make sure you visit.

The giveaway will end on Tuesday, April 13th at midnight, so get your entries in by then!

Also, be sure and Tweet this giveaway to your friends. The more the merrier, no? :) Good luck, all!!

Etsy Designer Spotlight: Talulabelles

I haven't forgotten about this running feature! I've just been bad about it. :)

And real quick before the post ensues: thanks for the responses yesterday! I'm actually a little shocked that most of you feel you couldn't pull off the look for one reason or another... especially because Oprah herself has deemed it an "easy look" to wear. Hmmm... Shows us how much she knows, huh? :)  I hope a few of you try it at least once, 'cuz lemme tell ya-- it's like wearing pajamas without having to wear the Pajama Jeans. And I swear, if I catch any of you wearing those, I'll be forced to bring out my styling AND psychology skillz on yas.

On to more interesting things: Etsy is known for the myriad of jewelry designers who make spectacular baubles, and Talulabelles is no exception. She hails from the UK, but don't fret, US buyers-- shipping is always free. And that's impressive for a small business! She uses a mixture of new and repourposed materials to make stunning pieces. Let's take a gander, shall we?

Chrysanthe Lace Applique necklace, $54

Baileys Over Ice earrings, $26

Olivia Corsage Necklace, $115

Hedgerow Fairies bracelet, $74

Chrysalis Butterfly earrings, $26

My fave has to be the lace applique necklace in the first picture-- the gold gets me every time. Gimme gimme. Check out her other stuff, too.... it's all worth a look!

Enter a giveaway, even if it's not mine!

This is another one of those boring, information-type posts. Ugh, I know, I'm a betch, right? But this is still kinda fun and exciting even if it's not mindless pretty colors.

LuShae Jewelry is running a huge giveaway over on their site. I've seen LuShae's jewels and other bloggers have sung the company's praises (like Shannon at Wardrobe Review, or Classy In Philadelphia).  It's an Australian based jewelry company who models many of their pretty pieces off of celebrity designs, and of course, at a fraction of the price. Here's the giveaway: If you have a MySpace, blogger, or Live Journal account/page, you can win a grand prize of $5,000. Yeah, $5,000. That's a lot of money. In fact, that would buy me all the DVF in the world! (Scratch that. At least half the new DVF Spring collection, though. Sigh.) They even do monthly giveaways for a $200 prize, and anyone who enters the grand prize is eligible for the monthly ones, too. Oh AND you can get 15% off the entire site by entering! Whew... that's a lot of offers. All you have to do is click this link and follow the steps listed (post one of their badges on your page, then enter your name and email-- pretty simple).

(And again, for total clarity, I receive compensation for giveaway entrants who enter from that link above.)

Me? I wouldn't mind sporting this little pretty on my right hand:

Nice. Oh and look, I gave you a pretty picture to look at! I'm so sweet.
